Reverend Dr. Barry Anderson has served Iona since 2007. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Barry was ordained in 1983, and has pastored congregations in Alabama, Indiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, and currently serves as pastor of First Presbyterian, Paragould, Arkansas. He is a graduate of Samford University (BA) and Memphis Theological Seminary (MDiv., DMin). He recently retired from Memphis Theological Seminary after serving as the Director of Admissions and Student Services for 34 years. Barry and his wife, Lisa, live in Memphis, and have three adult children and five grandchildren.
The Reverend Jennifer Muraya is a native of Kenya. A career teacher, she taught in various schools in central Kenya, and was principal of Maragua St. Joans Academy. She has been a resident of Memphis since 2011. Ordained in March 2017, she served as Administrative Assistant at Memphis Theological Seminary and as Associate Pastor at ACTS Korean CP Church before becoming a Resident Chaplain at Methodist North Hospital. She is a graduate of the University of Nairobi (BA, PGDE) and Memphis Theological Seminary (MDiv.). Jennifer is the mother of two adult children and the grandmother of one.
